Recommended Tourist Destinations

Yokohama Cosmoworld

Yokohama Cosmoworld is an urban amusement park located immediately in front of our hotel, featuring Cosmo Clock 21, which is one of the largest Ferris Wheels in the world standing 112.5 meters tall and capable of carrying up to 480 people. The park consists of three zones including the Wonder Amuse Zone, the Burano Street Zone, and the Kids Carnival Zone, with a wide variety of attractions such as a roller coaster, merry-go-round, and haunted house. At nighttime, you can enjoy colorful, dazzling illuminations within the park, surrounding the giant Ferris Wheel.

Nogecho (Noge district)

Noge is located just past Sakuragicho Station, on the opposite side of the Minato Mirai district. This area has drawn wide attention as a downtown “drinking street” in Yokohama with a sprawl of 600 bars and restaurants. The area reminds you of the good old days of Japan in the Showa era that lasted up until 1989. Enjoy a diverse array of unique eating and drinking destinations from izakaya taverns that serve popular Japanese dishes such as yakitori, oden, horumonyaki and sushi, to cafés, bars and restaurants with the latest recipes to satisfy your palate.

Yamashita Park

Yamashita Park is the most famous park in the Yokohama area. As the park extends from Osanbashi Pier to Yamashita Wharf for one kilometer along the coastline, you can take a refreshing walk while gazing at the beautiful seascape of Yokohama Bay Bridge and many boats sailing around the port. The park has a number of monuments, such as the statue of a little girl in red shoes, who appears in a famous Japanese nursery rhyme, and the statue of the guardian of water, which is a gift from San Diego in the United States (a sister city of Yokohama). A large Japanese ocean liner called the Hikawa Maru is berthed in a corner of the park. It ran a regular transpacific route between Seattle and Yokohama, and was nicknamed “The Queen of the North Pacific.” Visitors can look at the ship’s art deco interiors including the first-class dining room and first-class cabins. Yamashita Park is also famous for its garden that contains a wide variety of roses, which are in full bloom in spring and fall every year.
